Lisa Levin, CEO of AdvantAge Ontario, released the following statement on the new Health Care Funding Plan
"We are pleased to see movement on a long-term, stable funding agreement between Ottawa and the provinces.
As attention shifts to a bilateral agreement between the Federal government and Queen’s Park, politicians must ensure that the net new funding is used for net new initiatives in long-term care. We want funding that will truly advance the level and quality of care we can offer seniors. That includes funding for a broader array of staff, including physiotherapists, social workers, and investments to support homes in transitioning to emotion-focused models of care. We also want funding for new technologies that will make residents’ lives easier and safer.”
