Survey of the Ontario General Population

A total of 1,002 interviews were conducted in Ontario to gather people's opinions on the future of long-term care in Ontario. The results revealed a number of interesting findings, including the following:

> By a large margin, Ontarians prefer a not-for-profit home over a for-profit.
> There is a very clear preference for the not-for-profit model of LTC homes.
> Over 2/3 of Ontarians would like the provincial government to build more not-for-profit care homes as opposed to for-profit.
