Designing for support of People living with Dementia

The right design can not only facilitate activities of daily living but also be customized to suit a variety of resident needs and preferences.

In this session, attendees will explore validated design features that support the comfort of and facilitate the communication styles of people living with dementia. Equipment that facilitates one-to-one interactions coupled with an appropriate care partner approach supports a calm and dignified care environment. Attendees will also learn how to spot dementia-friendly design features and discover sources for the latest information about caring for people living with dementia.

Cancellations: Cancellations will be accepted up to five working days prior to the date of the program less a 15% administration fee that will apply regardless of the status of payment. Registrants who fail to attend the program or cancel after the deadline date shall be liable for the full fee. There is no charge for delegate substitutions.
