Free members-only webinar!
Tuesday, October 21, 2025
2:00pm – 3:00pm
We are hosting this special, free members-only webinar—a valuable chance to understand Ontario’s new LTC Capital Funding Policy and what it means for your (long-term care) LTC projects.
The policy introduces key changes to how Ontario funds the construction and redevelopment of LTC homes. From funding amounts and eligible costs to payment schedules and per-diem calculations, the updates have important financial and operational implications.
Two expert speakers will break down the new program details, clarify Ministry communications, and explain their practical impact on LTC operators planning or building projects. Through real-world scenarios and case studies, they will show what feasible projects look like under the new funding model, including design considerations, critical path planning, and alignment with program timelines.
This webinar equips participants to:
- Outline the main updates in the 2025 Capital Funding Program, covering funding timelines, eligible cost categories, and the new per-diem sizing approach.
- Examine case studies to understand how design choices, critical path timelines, and financial modelling interact under the new funding model, and how these influence project feasibility and debt servicing.
- Assess the impact on financing, including debt coverage and mezzanine-level considerations, and implement strategies to align construction budgets and borrowing plans with the new funding structure.
Speakers:
Rishi Gehi, Vice President, Project Finance, Stonebridge Financial Corporation
Mike Brcko, President, Seniors DevCo Inc.
