We are hosting a special session on Wednesday, May 13 from 10:00–11:30 a.m. in response to the Pay Equity Hearing Tribunal’s recent decision on maintaining proxy pay equity to help members understand the implications and navigate their pay equity process.
The session will be led by Lauri A. Reesor, Partner at Hicks Morley, who is an experienced labour relations and pay equity expert. Topics will include:
- The essential foundations of establishing pay equity using the proxy method
- How maintenance requirements have evolved—and what applied prior to 2021
- Key recent decisions from the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal and what they mean for employers now
- Practical guidance and next steps to help ensure compliance in both unionized and non-unionized workplaces

Lauri Reesor is a partner in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Lauri’s success in building and maintaining long-standing client relationships is a result of her commitment to having an in-depth understanding of her clients’ business and the sector in which they operate, and providing practical, solution-focused legal advice to meet her clients’ business needs while mitigating risk. Her main areas of focus include human rights litigation, pay equity, labour arbitration and education law with a concentration on special education.

Cancellations: Cancellations will be accepted up to five working days prior to the date of the program less a 15% administration fee that will apply regardless of the status of payment. Registrants who fail to attend the program or cancel after the deadline date shall be liable for the full fee. There is no charge for delegate substitutions. The AdvantAge Ontario Education Department reserves the right to cancel or reschedule this program.
