Developed in partnership with DDO Health Law and Medisystem Pharmacy, the AdvantAge Ontario Cannabis Toolkit will help health care professionals in long term care homes and other residential health settings to navigate the comprehensive legal framework that applies to medical cannabis. The updated toolkit lays out the legal framework, risk management strategies and considerations, and rules related to appropriate accommodation of recreational and medical cannabis in senior care settings. Two policy templates are also included.

2025-2026 Provincial Pre-Budget Submission

AdvantAge Ontario believes that increased funding in the next provincial budget should focus on four critical areas:

Health human resources

Long-term care level of care funding

Long-term care capital development

Assisted living in seniors’ supportive housing

In our submission, Time is Running Out: Investing Now to Meet the Care Needs of Ontario’s Seniors, we have put forward our four top priorities (listed above) and 21 recommendations.
