What happens when you invest every dollar into expanding the care and services offered to seniors and improving your homes?

  • Over 20% more hours of direct daily care per resident
  • Lower staff turnover
  • Lower rates of hospitalization
  • Newer homes with community and culturally specific amenities
  • Better control of infection and disease

This is why the vast majority of Ontarians waiting for a spot in long-term care (LTC) have listed a not-for-profit, municipal or charitable home as their first choice. Nearly 26,000 seniors are waiting for a bed in one of these special homes.

This overwhelming demand makes it clear. As we recover and rebuild after the tragedies of the pandemic, Ontario needs more not-for-profit long-term care homes to give our seniors the care, comfort and safety they deserve.
